After numerous Covid-19 postponements, Josh and Heather finally got to celebrate their big day at the historic Kyle House in Fincastle, VA. There was an air of “finally!” after all of the logistical hoops they had to jump through to make the wedding a reality at last. I had photographed their engagement photoshoot back in 2019, so it was extra special to see them again after all of that time to celebrate their marriage.
This was a gorgeous spring day, accented by their beautiful added details of little lacy touches and lavender flowers galore. One of my favorite moments on their day was shared between Heather and her adorable grandmother. They’ve been close for Heather’s whole life, and over the years they developed this cute tradition of wearing crazy hats. They each had one on this day and of course I made sure to capture this inside joke. It was so touching!
Heather and Josh are such a sweet couple. They’re both really kind and the more you get to know them, the more you learn about just how fun and creative they can each be. They were both so relaxed at their wedding (which is often NOT the norm!), which really put everyone else at ease, too. Congrats to this delightful pair of humans!!
